Here’s a luxury home that has more ticks than there are boxes for them. At 370sqm and with five bedrooms, six bathrooms, four-car garaging, a gym and a lift, you’d be hard-pressed to find anything else you’d ever need, now or in the near future.

This three-level beauty also has a fully automated solar-panel system with battery retention, a solar hot-water setup, and stormwater retention pods that store and reuse rain water. Thermally broken joinery and wool-blend insulation keep this large house cosy.

And did we mention the view? The living areas and decks take in great sweeps of sea and city from their grandstand position on the hill. The view is pretty good from the road too. With schist, steel and plaster cladding, the house is attractive on its hillside site.

With each floor consuming approximately 3 truckloads of timber we have now completed all the floors and have the roof rafters nearly finished ready for the roofing membrane!

Tom gives us the January update and explains the progress on the construction which is now being prepped for being weather tight.

The bathrooms are now waterproofed and ready for tiling, the exterior is now ready for cladding and all of the windows and joinery have been installed.
